I'm a Registered Dietitian with a master's degree in Nutrition Sciences and Dietetics. My journey began in the halls of hospitals as an inpatient dietitian, where I witnessed firsthand the unsettling reality of our broken healthcare system. This eye-opening experience led me to develop a nutrition practice rooted in the wisdom of Hippocrates: "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food."
Today, this philosophy is more critical than ever as our nation grapples with a widespread metabolic crisis. Through my own journey, I discovered the transformative power of nutrition. I reversed my prediabetes, improved my weight, enhanced insulin resistance, and balanced my cholesterol levels—all through the principles of functional nutrition.
Functional Nutrition is not complicated. As Michael Pollan wisely put it: "Eat real food, mostly plants, not too much." By following these simple guidelines, we can reverse metabolic diseases, feel great, and ensure that our children and grandchildren have the energy and health to keep up with us, not the other way around.
At Functional Nutrition Institute, I am committed to helping you achieve optimal health through personalized, evidence-based nutritional guidance. I love hiking, walking, swimming, and cooking healthy food that tastes great. Join me on this journey to better health and well-being.
Welcome to Functional Nutrition. Let's make food your medicine and transform your life together.
